By Juan Mejia

I know thunder isn’t what flashes and burns

But I can’t help but pray when the clouds return

Just the sound of you makes me want to run and hide

I know I can’t, so I scream at the dead of night

Only you can strike me down with thunder

So quick and painful, my lover

You once shone like no other

But then I ask where you’ve gone to

So fast, the way I lost you

The way you faded too soon

But why do I hear you? I wish I knew

So I follow you all over

You are my sign, my thunder. You are my life when I falter

You are my sign, my thunder. You are my life when I falter

I’m scared of the dark of night. Come to me with a sign

But I know that it’s all a lie

Cause when it’s dark, you come. Never when I feel the sun

Where are you in my skies?

So tell me, do you mean love? So tell me, do you mean harm?

Please don’t play around with my heart because you are my sign, my thunder

Only you can strike me down with thunder

So quick and painful, my lover

You once shone like no other

But then I ask where you’ve gone to

So fast, the way I lost you

The way you faded too soon

But why do I hear you? I wish I knew

So I follow you all over

Only you can strike me down with thunder

With beauty, you just hurt me

That pain lingers just like my dreams

I know my love will be my doom

But I got nothing to lose

So when I see a sign of you

When it rains, I wait like a fool

I see you when it thunders

Be honest, did you care at all?

Will you care when I fall?

Cause when I look up in the night,

These memories are what lies

They’re fogging up my skies

These signs are my danger,

From what was once a reminder,

They become such a stranger

So all that’s left, is these echoes

I guess I’m on my own,

Oh God, I feel alone
